MEET THE TEAM
DRTY 2021-2022
Hi my name is Henry Barron and this year I am one of your Co-Presidents. I am a Junior at Jordan High School and this is my 3rd year on DRTY board and 4th year as a part of DRTY. My favorite DRTY event we do is the Winter Lock-in because the programs are amazing and the people are better. The reason I love DRTY are the friends and connections I’ve made and the memories that DRTY have helped create. Outside of DRTY I love running Cross Country and Track as well as traveling and hanging out with my friends. If you have any questions about DRTY you can email me at [email protected] or message me at 919-444-0482. I can’t wait for this of DRTY events and hope you decide to join.

Hi DRTY! I’m Sam Rice a senior at Carrboro High School and your Co-President this year! I’ve been a part of DRTY for three years now and my all time favorite event is our DRTY Friendsgiving. Everyone brought Thanksgiving food, painted pumpkins, took Polaroid pictures, and stargazed! DRTY has introduced me to so many awesome people and I love connecting to Judaism through this community and leadership. In my free time I love all things outdoors especially backpacking, camping, and rock climbing. Besides that I love cooking and baking! I’m so excited for DRTY this year. We have some super awesome events planned and I can’t wait to finally be back in person. My email is [email protected] is you have questions or want to chat. Can’t wait to meet ya!

Hey everyone! My name is Jack Fishkin, I am a freshman at Chapel Hill High School, and I am DRTY’s Communications VP. This is my first year in DRTY, DRTY has been really fun for me and has re-connected me to my Jewish identity in ways I am forever grateful for. When I’m not dealing with school or working on a Spanish project, you can find me spending my time playing baseball or fishing with my friends. Despite Covid placing some limits on what we can do as a youth group this year, I have no doubt that it will be just as fun! Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions. You can reach me at [email protected]!

Hi guys! My name is Mikaela Saver. I am a junior at East Chapel Hill High School and I am DRTY’s Progamming VP. I have done DRTY for four years and I love every minute of it. My favorite event is the annual Hanukkah lock-in because there are a lot of fun activities and it is always super hype! I joined DRTY because I wanted to be a part of a community of Jewish teens who can connect and spend time together. DRTY is one of the best programs and has given me so many fun times and friends. In my free time, I like to volunteer, play soccer, spend time outside, do mock trial, hang with friends, or attempt to learn a Tik Tok dance. Even in the pandemic, I know DRTY is going to be a lot of fun and I cannot wait to see everyone’s faces. You can always reach out to me about DRTY or just to talk about anything in general. My email is [email protected]! See you all soon!
